Edward Corbett was active in San Francisco, Taos, Provincetown, and Washington, D.C. Corbett was a true painter's painter, much admired by Richard Diebenkorn and Ad Reinhardt. He was included in MOMA's pivotal 1952 show 15 Americans with Pollock, Rothko, and Still. This great abstract painting shows the lyrical depth and the structural integrity of Corbett's elegant vision.
