Abstract projects:

This is a recent series of paintings. The ideas about it developed gradually, through my career as an IT professional and through personal experiences with people and reflections on these experiences. If you work in a project, there are always things that are complicated. Communications, discussions about the financial part, time pressure, etc. What I try to capture in these project series is the idea of a project as a timeline. It starts on the leftside of the painting and ends on the rightside. Some projects start with hardly anyone having a clue, and some start with a very clear idea of the goals and path to follow in mind. I have used a few real live occasions as a source of inspiration for this painting. I hope that the people in question are not too unhappy about the outcome. Something related to these projects are the landscapes of the Canarian Island La Palma where I recently was. For instance the projects with the name volcano in their titles are partly inspired by the Palmese landscapes. I hope you will enjoy looking at these paintings.
