In the contemporary style of geometric hard-edge art, Ralph Berko creates three-dimensional design on a two dimensional surface. Artists such as Stella, Escher, and Vasarely, have influenced him greatly. His work is distinguished by the sense of movement and space in his unique use of color. Some of his works are done with monochromatic colors, while others are multi-colored and very visual. Many viewers are impressed by the luminescence emanating from his paintings, and the zone of shadow which are produced by the variation of his color scales and progression.
